9月8日下午，艺术家张万凌个展秀樾荷塘在南希画廊成功开幕。

开幕式当天下午，田子坊商会会长吴梅森先生出席致辞，展览策展人Nancy Lee女士和艺术家张万凌分别发言，表达了对此次展览的希冀和祝福。艺术爱好者和收藏家朋友们齐聚一堂，争相分享欣赏艺术、收藏作品、与艺术家为友的喜悦。

张万凌出生于甘肃，现为国家一级美术师，中国美术家协会会员，第七届中国美协理事会理事，中国油画学会理事，民盟中央美术院常务院长，甘肃省文史研究馆馆员，甘肃省美术家协会副主席。

“秀樾荷塘——艺术家张万凌个人画展”精选了艺术家近年来的最新艺术作品。作品的创作灵感来自西方印象画派和中国诗词意境的结合；通过画作，张万凌诠释了对生命的礼赞与感叹，以及对大地上千万生灵精神的讴歌。
恰逢夏末秋初，本次个展将带领观者走进荷花的写意内涵。从荷塘落日到荷花、莲藕、残茎的组合，张万凌的油画作品展现了他超凡的哲性与诗性互通互动的观照。他的审美理想并非乌托邦式，而是直面现实和人的生存境况。他以高于自然、高于真实的美学标准，把生命内涵与自然精髓融合孕育出自己的艺术格调。张万凌绘出了荷花诗画意境的张扬，也在不断寻找追求着绘画里精神内涵极致表达的“妙境”。

In September, Nancy’s Gallery launched the exhibition "Lotus in Bloom-Zhang Wanling Solo Exhibition" in Tianzifang. The opening turns out to be a big success on September 8, 2020. Mr. Wu Meisen, President of Tianzifang Chamber of Commerce, gave a speech. The Curator, Ms. Nancy Lee, and the artist Zhang Wanling addressed separately, expressing their best wishes for the exhibition. Art lovers and collectors gathered together with great enthusiasm to share the joy of appreciating art, collecting works, and being friends with the artist.
Zhang Wanling, born in Gansu province in 1954, is a first-rate artist. He is now a committee of the Chinese Artists Association and China Oil Painting Society, the president of the Central Academy of Arts of China Democratic League, and the vice-chairman of the Artists Association of Gansu Province.
The latest artworks of Zhang Wanling were selected for this exhibition. Impressionism, together with Chinese poetry, inspired the creation of his works. Through his paintings, Zhang Wanling interprets the praise and admiration of life. He eulogizes the spirit of various creatures and admires the fabulous nature.
At the end of summer, this solo exhibition will lead the viewers into the freehand lotus’ connotation. From the sunset in the lotus pond to the combination of lotus, lotus root, and residual stems, Zhang Wanling’s oil paintings show his extraordinary philosophy and poetic interaction. His aesthetic ideal is not utopian but confronts reality and human existence. With an aesthetic standard higher than nature and higher than fact, he fused life’s connotation and mother nature to nurture his artistic style. Zhang Wanling painted the artistic conception of lotus poems and paintings. He is continuously looking for the "wonderland" that pursues the ultimate expression of spiritual connotation in his work.
